About Nicholas Jobe

Author Biography

1000006247.png

Nicholas Jobe is a librarian, former English teacher, and storyteller who enjoys bending genres until they squeak. His fiction blends sci-fi, fantasy, and horror with introspective questions, unexpected structures, and a playful sense of experimentation. He loves treating stories like creative playgrounds—writing action like movie scenes, then tugging at the edges of structure to see what happens. His work jumps between perspectives and timelines, blurs reality with words, and questions how to tell a blockbuster story in unconventional ways.

He has written for multiple age groups, from younger readers to adults, and gravitates toward stories that are both adventurous and thoughtful—where emotional depth and strange ideas coexist. Outside of books, his influences range from character-driven video games and meta movies to his experiences as a teacher, traveler, and librarian, and his work often reflects that mix of curiosity, humor, and philosophy.

Nicholas lives in Texas with his wife and two daughters.
